Dan I Lebovic, MD, MA

Board Certified Reproductive Endocrinologist

“It is a huge privilege to assist infertility patients by balancing optimism and hope with realistic expectations (and a tincture of humor) in what can be a very arduous process. The advances in our field give me great hope to pass forward and allow patients to realize their dreams.”

Dr. Dan Lebovic (he/him/his) completed a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco.  He was raised and educated in California, although he has been fortunate enough to enjoy other great towns in the USA throughout his career. After his fellowship, he obtained tenure at the University of Michigan, where he performed NIH-supported research on endometriosis. He then moved to the University of Wisconsin–Madison as the REI Division Chief, where he became full professor and successfully rebuilt their IVF program. He has authored a handbook entitled “Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility: Handbook for Clinicians” and has contributed chapters to reproductive medicine textbooks as well as Up-To-Date®, a peer-reviewed online publication for physicians. Dr. Lebovic was an Oral Board Examiner with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology for 14 years.

As the son of immigrants (including a Holocaust survivor), Dr. Lebovic was raised to value hard work, honesty, and integrity. He strives to be available for any questions that may come up because he firmly believes half the battle is understanding the reasoning behind diagnostic tests as well as the chosen treatment. By gaining a better understanding of what lies ahead, Dr. Lebovic hopes patients can gain more trust and enthusiasm, ultimately leading to a successful outcome.
